Jean Hendrix

Jean has over twenty-five years of experience as a mental health therapist in the Chicago suburbs. She is dedicated to helping her clients work on themselves. She has experience working with all age groups and identities. She enjoys creating a safe, comfortable environment to empower clients to lead satisfying lives and achieve their highest potential.

Jean is currently offering in-person and phone sessions to ensure that appointments are safe and accessible for everyone. Her therapy office is located in St. Charles, Illinois.

Jean takes a compassionate, knowledgable approach to psychotherapy, and has experience working with clients with anxiety, caregiver stress, depression, grief, life transitions, job stress, past trauma, and relationship conflicts. She has a strong background in working with adult children of alcoholics and people with sexual trauma.

In addition, she specializes in working with the families of disabled and neurodivergent (ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder, and more) individuals. She offers an approach that is client-centered and grounded in family systems, allowing you to improve the physical and emotional well-being of yourself and those close to you. Jean offers solutions to help you improve your communication and connections with others, using the Gottman Method in her approach to guiding you towards learning conflict resolution strategies and healthy relationship practices.

Jean has a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from St. Xavier University and a degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University. In addition, she has attended a variety of workshops in her field, and she has received extensive training in trauma-informed care.
